Huaweii E1752C, from Orange. Quite an old 3G modem.

I decided to plug this modem to my Windows 10 Home laptop, what a mistake it was.

The installation went fine and w/o problems. But launching the installed application yielded no results - I was shown the information that "OS not managed". The application could not connect me to the internet. Closing it made it crash.

So I decided to uninstall it. In Programs and Features I saw two entries related to this modem. First I uninstalled the one that seemed to be the auxiliary one, and this went fine. But uninstalling the main one fails; the uninstaller won't proceed for a few minutes, eating up around 30% CPU, so I close it. The uninstaller by far didn't manage to remove the whole application, but at east it made me unable to launch it through the installed shortcuts in the Start menu.

When I switch the computer on, I always see at least one process in the Task Manager that seems to be related to this modem... I'd like to clean up this mess somehow. How to achieve this?

Revo Uninstaller has a very powerful feature called Forced Uninstall. Forced Uninstall is the best solution when you have to remove stubborn programs, partially installed programs, partially uninstalled programs, and programs not listed as installed at all!

Uninstall hidden Left over Drivers

Device Manager displays only non-Plug and Play devices, drivers, and printers when you click Show hidden devices on the View menu. Devices that you install that are not connected to the computer (such as a Universal Serial Bus [USB] device or "ghosted" devices) are not displayed in Device Manager, even when you click Show hidden devices.

To work around this behavior and display devices when you click Show hidden devices:

1. Click Start Menu --> All Programs --> Accessories, and then right click Command Prompt and select "Run as Administrator".

2. At a Command Prompt, type the following command , and then press ENTER:

set devmgr_show_presentment_devices=1

3. Type the following command a command prompt, and then press ENTER:

start devmgmt.msc

4. Click Show hidden devices on the View menu in Device Manager before you can see devices that are not connected to the computer.

       5. Expand Network Adapters right click each 3G modem device drivers and select Uninstall from context menu if there is a check box for deleting the driver from Driver Store place a check mark on check box.

       6.  When you finish restart your computer.

Note that when you close the command prompt window, Window clears the devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 variable that you set in step 2 and prevents ghosted devices from being displayed when you click Show hidden devices.
