Hello people,  I have a question about some things happen to me lately and i want an opinion more or less, lately my pc started to run a little slowly , and so on I got scared ,and i start running some malware and rootkit detection softwares like: malwarebytes, spybot, tdss killer from karpesky ,and hitman pro , and none of them found something on my pc ( the thing that scared me the most was that I recently wiped out all my hardisk data while reinstalling my windows) ,and recently when i ctrl+alt +del , and look at processes I something called "SearchProtocolHost" and at his description in processes it says something about windows host ,and when I open his location it is in the "system32" folder ,so ussualy the main thing about this it's that it disappears in a matter of seconds , and I don't get why it does so , some people on the internet says that this procces it draining them out or something , but at me it just appears for some seconds when I press  "ctrl+alt+del "(not always)  and then disappear.

While I searched it on internet I just got more like pissed off, cause nobody said some details about this ,and lately I just became a little bit paranoic about malwares , rootkits and out things, so I want an opinion about this.

So my main questions about this are:
Am I safe if I scanned with the softwares listed above ?
And that "SearchProtocolHost" it's the real deal , I mean the procces from the windows?

Sorry if I don;t make sense at some phrases , I will try to be more explicit if you don't understand.

Welcome to BC....

SearchProtocolHost is a legit Windows file and in the correct location.

Perhaps you have picked up some adware or computer needs cleaning. Use the programs below.

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the

Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.

After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
  • download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message

After posting the JRT scan result and the AdwCleaner scan results, please do this:

Post the three lists mentioned below using CCleaner.

Open CCleaner and click on Tools. Choose Startups. On that page you will see a list of Windows Startups and at the top tabs for each browser and Scheduled Tasks.

At the bottom right of that page you will see a button when clicked will allow you to Copy and Paste the list of Windows Startups and Scheduled Tasks into your next

post. Please do that.

Open CCleaner and click on Tools. Choose Uninstall. On that page you will see a list of programs installed on your computer and at the bottom right of that page you

will see a button when clicked will allow you to Copy and Paste that list in your next post. Please do that.

Run another scan using AdwCleaner and be sure to click on Clean when scan finishes. Post the scan results.

Uninstall JRT. Then install it again on the Desktop. Be sure to allow it time to complete its scan.

I see that BitDefender is installed but not showing in Windows Startups. Be sure it is disabled before scanning using JRT.

Same goes for Hitman Pro. If you don't intend to use them in real time, uninstall them before scanning with JRT.

Disable CCleaner in Windows Startups. Use CCleaner by clicking on it and choosing Disable on the right.

Suggest you uninstall uTorrent. Using it to download free stuff is extremely risky.

JRT finds and removes adware and other unwanted software. The idea of downloading and installing JRT again is to eliminate

a bad download as the problem. Security programs can interfere with it, too.

Your AdwCleaner log only showed scanning selected....not clean.

Sorry about that , the problem about AdwCleaner , is that it said it will restart my pc , and i had some aplications running so I wanted to end them first so i posted just the scan result , and when I finished with them I pressed clean and restart my pc.
The main question is about JRT , isn't AdwCleaner doing the same thing as JRT ?

The two compliment each other. Meaning they do find what the other misses.
