I have a friend that uses a Verizon Jetpack to get online.  He keeps getting blasted by the Microsoft Worm or Virus out there. There seems to be no way to stop him from getting it again,  Is there a prevention?

Suggest your friend become a member here at BC and start a new topic in this forum. Perhaps your friend is not completely removing the

source of whatever malware is presently on his computer.

It may be a problem with the Jetpack. It can be reset to default settings and then accessed to resecure. Restore Settings to Factory Defaults - Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile HotSpot - MiFi 4510L | Verizon Wireless

Wireless Network Security Settings - Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot - MiFi 4620L | Verizon Wireless

How can he completely remove the malware?  Preferably without reloading his OS.

Some of the programs used in this forum may remove whatever malware is on the computer. If not, he would be referred to the Malware Removal Forum.

Tell him about BC and why he should seek help here.
