Hi I have a PC that wont boot it gets to just before login screen and restarts, then comes up with launch start up repair, i tried boot into safemode, but just when all the drivers load it also restarts, and i tried enable last known good config and it restarts, im thinking hardrive is dead? any ideas?

Do a clean reinstall of windows it will clear your problem. Reason some year ago maybe 2 yrs i have also face the problem when i do clean reinstall then i didnot have problem. Your hard disk is not dying.

I think that windows is getting harm because of installation of more junk software which lead to damage the windows. The startup repair trys to kill but it can't. Another OP is because of not properly shut down, more system restore, never using diskcleanup chkdsk etc... Maybe not sure.

it wont even let me do a system restore, mayb if i use CD ill be able too, theres lot of stuff on hardrive uaser will need

i cant access safe mode that usually means its something serious?

Open the BIOS and see if the hdd is being recognized there.

 

The BIOS operates independently from Windows, so it should be able to be accessed.
