Want to remove a program from Uninstall and follow these instructions: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/manually-remove-programs-from-add-remove-programs/

However the program that I want to remove doesn't appear in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.

You could try the Microsoft Fixit tool for programs that won't uninstall/install

Was it installed as an app from the App Store? I would have thought it should be able to be updated from there without uninstalling the previous version, or is that not working the reason for the manual attempt?
