Hi! I was wondering if an R9 270 can run Continuum High and get an Average of 40-50 FPS.

Considering that Minecraft is generally heavier on the CPU than the GPU, probably. What's the rest of your system specs?

Intel Xeon X5650
6GB RAM
And that's all that matters.

Motherboard info, please?

That CPU is 6 years old. You might have a better performance benefit by upgrading to a new CPU/Motherboard combo than installing a new GPU.

P.S: What is your current GPU?

The current GPU is GTX 650. I have to give it to my brother to make his PC. The MoBo is Gigabyte EX58-UD3R. If you read my older thread, then just so you know, this is another MoBo.
I may not have to worry as I use Optifine to load the Shaders and the mod has an option to disable Lazy Chunk Loading and it will benefit from the 12 cores.

The MoBo wasn't used too much. The seller send it to me with every single thing that it came with when new. And it was extremely clean too.

I was just ensuring it had the proper interface to support that card (although your mention of the previous GPU confirmed this for me as well). It should be fine, but if you're only going to be playing minecraft with this PC and not run any graphically demanding apps, why not go with something even cheaper?

Because I want to play NFS 2016 at High settings. But how about an R7 265? Would that do these 2 jobs?

I have another question. I can't seem to find an R9 270 in my budget, which is destroyed. Is an HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 gonna run NFS 2016 at high settings and Continuum High?

Probably not. Could you please give me a rough budget?

85-90$
Not necesarily new. Recommended to be used. And don't give me any eBay or Amazon links, as I don't live in USA. I'll find one myself. I just need a good GPU that will perform fine. And not necesarily High presets. Continuum Medium and NFS 2016 at Medium would be fine.

Just to inform you, I don't use 1920×1080 monitor. I use 1360×768.

Ok, after thinking a bit, I came up with these Graphics Cards. What GPU should I buy? A GTX 660, an R7 265 or a GTX 750Ti?
