Is there any way to get Windows 10 to open jpg files faster? I work with jpg files all the time and it has become frustrating.

Windows 7 would open them very quickly--now that I was forced to change to Windows 10 not so quick any more!

When you open the jpg files, do they open in the Photos app?

If you want, you can use Photo Gallery (that was used by default in Windows 7) to open the jpg files

Or try Irfanview, one of the best image viewers around. If you install it, install the plug-ins as well.

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !

Did you try opening in Photo Gallery? Does it open faster?

It opens much faster in "Photos" windows 10    I guess I will have live with that! I much prefer opening in windows photo viewer but as usual MS has to screw up things and tell us it is BETTER. I could not find "Photo Gallery"   The other thing that was close was "Windows Live Photo Gallery" and when I tried to use it to open a jpg I got an error message.

Photos app does have better editing tools than photo gallery. In my case, I don't have Windows Photo Viewer. Yes it is Windows Live Photo Gallery
