If you don't get answers here, I'd suggest posting over in the Networking forums:    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/21/networking/

As I understand it, all of the bandwidth that you use is shared.

So,. when you turn on the laptop, it uses some of that bandwidth - so the other devices don't have as much to use.

There could be more complicated reasons for this, but they're beyond what I'm able to help with.

Good luck!

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

There are few reasons why your laptop connection to internet or your network may cause speed issue with all devices connected to same router most important one is that the your laptop could be infected with malware infection maybe your laptop is a zombie which is a computer connected to the Internet that has been compromised by a hacker, computer virus or trojan horse and can be used to perform malicious tasks of one sort or another under remote direction. Botnets of zombie computers are often used to spread e-mail spam and launch denial-of-service attacks (DDoS). I would suggest for you to ask for malware infection checkup read the Am I Infected? What do I do? How do I get help? Who is helping me? thread to ask for assistant.
