I was wondering if anyone had any advise transitioning from an 3rd line support engineer to a IT consultant? I think I'm ready to make the jump, but it'll be good to hear from people that have and if they have any advice, I specialise in the Microsoft system center suite so I'm looking for consultant roles in that area if that helps.
Was there anything outrageously different (apart from the travel of course)?
Anything in particular to get skilled up in?
Essentially an inside story would be nice!
