I'm having a heckova time trying to network my WIN7 32bit desktop to my Win10 desktop. At one point in time about 3 mos ago I had them networked via homegroup. Last week the drive in the Win7 box crashed. I put a new drive in and restored it using a BU but network is hosed. i keep getting ipv6 not enabled. It is enabled in both boxes. I'm fed up. If I use a USB turnaround cable to hook them both together  will I face the same networking protocol issues? I rarely need the network feature.

Thanks, Jim

FWIW...I wound up using another 6 month older backup to  restore the new WIN7 drive. Network is chugging along just fine now. I have no idea what happened.
