Are you serious? You sprayed your keyboard with soapy water to clean it?

I love my husband, I really do. But I just don't understand his sense of logic sometimes.

He deleted his recovery files to make more room on the hard drive. In the last year, he's gone through 2 laptops and 2 monitors for his desktop. He destroyed all of those by spraying them point-blank with soapy water.

*Sigh*

Last night, he destroyed his keyboard. Actually, it was MY keyboard. The extra one I have in case something happens and I need it. So I guess I should add 2 keyboards to that list.

I was able to save it. And if he hadn't banged on it because he thought he broke it, he would still have the 'L' key.

And he wonders why I won't let him borrow my tools.

:hysterical:

Love that...good belly laugh material !

So quite obviously the more practical/technical things are just not his forte

He probably had a sheltered upbringing where there were no tools to be had or he wasn't allowed to touch them....

The Getac B300 comes as tough as it gets in the world of laptops. It’s been engineered for use in danger areas with hazardous particles and gasses without fear of the unit exploding. The screen can lie back until it’s almost flat, minimizing wear and tear on the hinges.

The magnesium alloy case keeps it waterproof & safe.

I know a couple of people like that - they should not be allowed near a computer except under armed guard and after a body search !

To be fair, both of these guys are on the elderly side and getting fragile. My wife got a call from one of them seeking help again today. I've seen that laptop, or similar, in the occasional tech journal that comes my way. amazing bits of kit, virtually bullet proof.

If he was elderly, I might understand.

He's 42 and has a masters degree.

He should know better :-)

Every time this happens, he tells me he didn't think it would actually happen. I just don't know what to say to that anymore. It's a good thing he has other outstanding qualities. But I still won't let him anywhere near MY computer. Or my tools. He submerged my favorite ratcheting screw driver in water last year. I had that for 10 years. 10 years! I LOVED that screw driver.....And then he comes along.... I'm afraid to let him know about all the other tools I have.

I still wouldn't trade him for anyone else! I'm not allowed to tease him in public about deleting his recovery files though!

Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Isn't the man supposed to fix everything??
