I will be recently going on a trip and was wondering if Prey (https://preyproject.com/) was a good layer of security to have in case someone steals the computer?

Prey is a good program. :)

But if you'd like the piss the thief off, set a BIOS password haha.

Someone had stolen my laptop 4 years ago, and they brought it back to ME because i had a bios password on it. they couldn't get passed the bios.

Haha that's a good idea but I won't be able to locate the laptop and a thief might just throw it away instead of having to be embarrassed by returning it.

Touche haha, I haven't used prey since i've had a phone but as long as it's connected to the internet (if it still works that way) then Def use Prey. :)
