I have been infected with the cryptprojectxxx Trojan. All my files now have the added extension of 19FEB for example if document was test.doc it is now test.doc.19FEB I have not been able to identify online anyone that had the same extension added. ESET tool doesn't decrypt. I think iv removed the Trojan. I just want my files recovered without paying 1.5bitcoins. PLEASE HELP!!

There is no way to decrypt files hit by any of the latest CryptXXX variants at the current time. Nothing will decrypt the files. You can only revert from backups, pay the ransom, or backup your encrypted files and hope for the future.

The reason you won't find anyone else with the same extension is because certain variants of CryptXXX use a different random 5-character hex extension for every victim.

Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the above support topic discussion...it includes experiences by experts, a variety of IT consultants, end users and company reps who have been affected by ransomware infections. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
