Hi there,

I hope this is the right forum.

What free software can I use to take pics with my webcam & maybe put some text on it?

Easy to use.

Thanks

What make and model of webcam? Did the webcam come with any sort of software?

Hello, there is a bunch of Freeware for that kind of thing, online and installation based, here is a few.

Photoscape

GIMP (Now Available for windows) GIMP is like photoshop.

WebCamToy

Faststone Image Viewer

Paint.Net

IrfanView

Hope one of those help!

And as Animal had said, did your cam come with software or just the basic driver?

Hi guys,

I think it did, but I remember it being too complicated to use. And I'm not sure what it's called to even look it up.

It's a Logitech 920C

Thanks Viper :)

What Viper said and the check with the manufacturer, of course, but the cam should have come with a method to install the needed drivers.

Very nice webcam! What operating system are you running? It's compatible with Windows 7/8/10 and later. If you're good in that department you can download the software at logitech.com/downloads. Hope that helps!
