Start Up Problem

i ecently shut down my windows xp ,computer working great.
next day went to start up computer and it wouldnt start, nothing nada
i was informed to remove battery from inside computer and reset bioss, did this and eventualy got it up and running , now every time i want to start computer i have to take out battery ,
tried a registry programme to see if faults lay ther .no luck found sum faults repaired them but computer still wont start , tried systen restore no luck can anyone help

Did you replace the battery with a new one?
