Let me start by admitting I'm severely technologically challenged and thank the computer gods daily each time I can successfully turn mine on or off without blowing up anything of vital importance in my household. The IT guru at my college dubbed me "The Typhoid Mary of Computers" and maintained that I could easily kill any computer with a single finger in less than three seconds. Although less than complimentary, I'd say that would be fairly accurate. After killing three laptops in the first five minutes of day one in Biology 101 Lab, I was banned from any further use and was instructed to "look on" with my lab partner's computer instead... but don't TOUCH anything! That was roughly 13 years ago. I'm embarrassed to say not much has improved in the interim. With that said, obviously I'm in awe of all the members here, both old and new alike.
I'm hoping to learn how to safely use and maintain my computer and would like to start by getting help installing Kaspersky's TDSSKiller, but I'm not sure in which forum I need to post to ask about that. If someone could direct me to the right spot, I'll get out of your hair. Thanks for any help!
