I have a Windows tablet that CAME with Windows 8.1, including me calling Microsoft to activate Windows the usual way one time after I factory reset it when it had Windows 8.1. I received the "free upgrade" to Windows 10 some months ago and now I see a message in the corner "Activate windows. Go to settings to activate windows." How do I fix this? I googled the problem but NOTHING came up

Try to run the Microsoft Fixit available here not sure if it accepts to run on Windows 10 but due to the type of correction it should work.
