It just started happening today. When i hold down any key on my keyboard my display completely freezes and it makes a weird laggy type of sound. If i hold it down too long is says a display driver has crashed and has recovered.

I haven't downloaded any new programs recently and i ran virus scan, ccleaner and a tdss scanner. Found 7 infections but didnt change anything after they were quarantined and restarted the computer. I was using the laptop Yesterday and this wasn't happening.

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop running windows 7 with 4 gb of ram and 2.4 ghz. Its about 5 years old.
