When I checked Bitdefender it kept saying "trying to log in" and the virus shield was on but it said "Nothing scanned yet"

And this has been happening for a couple days and it doesn't want to log in or scan at all.

And today when I checked the virus shield and real-time protection were turned off and it said that a service is unresponsive.

So I restarted my computer and it still said it.

I closed BitDefender now.I also scanned my PC with Malwarebytes and there were no threats.

I also tried avast but it was too slow for me.

If this can't be fixed, are there any other good free antiviruses that have good real time protection?

Specs:

Intel I5 4460 @ 3.20 GHZ

Nvidia GTX 745 2 GB version

Uninstall the bitdefender and again install it this might work. If it does not then restore your system. I also have same antivirus which you have but i don't have any error with it.
To achieve something first try
to get the knowledge about it.
Be happy, always try
for it

SlavExpress:

I am a user of Bitdefender 2016 Total Security and a regular visitor to the Bitdefender Forums.  In instances such as you are describing, they usually "prescribe" a "repair", which can take some time to complete and resolves many issues.  You should find that under "Control Panel", "Add/Remove Programs", and then select "Repair" rather than "Uninstall."  Ensure that you have Internet access before starting the "Repair."

Good luck and let us know how you make out.  Have a great day.

Regards,

-Phil

Since there is an option to Repair...you should follow garioch7's advice and try that first. If that doesn't solve the problem then try the uninstall/reinstall option.
