Will Malwarebytes Anit-Exploit add the SlimJet browser to their protection list? (As they have other less known web browsers in the protection list as well.)

That is a question you would need to ask the developer (pbust)...just start a topic at the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Product Support Forum. I know that pbust welcomes feedback, suggestions and responds personally to all support issues.

Hello bcmo:

If the system in question already has Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE) Trial/Premium installed, you may always include MBAE's protections yourself by selecting the "Shields" tab and clicking the "Add Shield" button.

Cheers

As I said you can ask the developer about adding it to the free version.

I posted there.

Awaiting his response (in light of his welcoming feedback and suggestions).

Thank you.

Could it be that he's not that interested in my feedback? (As I haven't heard back there.)

It could be that it's a holiday weekend. Be patient...

Just like at BleepingComputer, staff members at Malwarebytes are all volunteers who assist members as time permits. No one is paid for their work or assistance. We all have jobs in the real world, families and other commitments which take priority over anything we do on these forums....so we are not logged into them every day.

Hi, @bcmo:

Just to clarify a wee bit, as @quietman7 has mentioned, @1PW (and I) are only volunteer helpers, both here and at the MBAM forum.

Neither of us is a Malwarebytes employee or a product developer for the company.

The lead MBAE product manager at Malwarebytes is @Pbust (Pedro).
He may indeed be enjoying some time off for the holiday weekend.

I expect he will eventually reply to your post at the MBAE forums HERE. :)

Having said that, your post was made in the MBAE support section, where users typically report problems with installing or running MBAE.

Your topic is more of a "question" or a "request for feature".

So, there is a chance it may have been inadvertently overlooked, because it was posted to the "support" area.

Perhaps the forum mod team may move it to a different area of the MBAE forum, for better visibility as a product suggestion.

Examples include the "MBAE News, Questions and Comments" forum or even the "MBAE Comments and Suggestions" forum.

Having said all that -- merely by way of explanation -- I'm confident that Pedro or someone else from the Malwarebytes MBAE product team will reply to you soon. :)

Until then, you might wish to consider upgrading to MBAE Premium.  It can be configured to shield nearly any internet-facing application, including browsers not protected by default by MBAE Free.

Cheers,

MM

Thanks all, and I was already aware of all of the above explanations vis-à-vis these people being volunteers etc. and I appreciate that.

I guess I just overestimated the following reply, which is what prompted my follow up question.

I know that pbust welcomes feedback, suggestions and responds personally to all support issues.

Hi:

I cannot speak for Pedro, but it seems as if your post may have been inadvertently overlooked.

You may wish to "bump" it by "tagging" Pedro -- just include "@pbust" (no quotes) somewhere in the post and the forum software editor should offer you the chance to "tag" him.  That way, he will get a notification of your post.

Only the MBAE product team can provide any sort of official response to requests to add additional browsers to the Free version.

Cheers,

MM

It didn't, but thanks.
