AMDGPU-PRO Driver 16.30 Officially Released with Support for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

While AMD says that the driver is available for Linux kernel-based operating systems, from the release notes we can see that only Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) is supported at this time. However, that shouldn't stop maintainer of other distributions to incorporate the new AMDGPU-PRO drive on their systems.

Supported GPU's.

Many users will be extremely happy with this!

Greets!

I wonder if the RX 480 will be on thew list.

It may be the only GPU I can afford right now while I am job hunting (still have money just not as much as i did have while working)

It says that it's compatible with R7 series, how about the notebook graphics cards, the R7 M340?

Well not for gaming, just seeing if it will work period.

Windows will be fine with it, but I would want a gpu that will work on both

^ Page two says open source supported (fixes needed atm) on kernel 4.7 ("soon" working out of the box) and fully supported on AMDGPU-PRO driver...
