Stop and start the print spooler on the server. From a command prompt.
NET STOP SPOOLER
wait for it to complete and then.
NET START SPOOLER
Here are the instructions for doing it with the GUI. This has been an issue since Windows NT. Unless I've needed something provided by printing from a server, security or driver updates, I always prefer printing directly to the printer.
