OK, how about the above message, then.  Wlan AutoConfig has successfully stopped. It shows as a warning in Event Viewer.

My wifi mouse and keyboard have started to shut down periodically after running perfectly well for at least the last 6 months. Could this Event Viewer warning have anything to do with my wifi devices problem?

Once enabled, WLAN AutoConfig service dynamically selects the wireless network to which the computer will automatically connect, and configures the necessary settings on the wireless network adapter. This includes automatically selecting and connecting to a more preferred wireless network when one becomes available. The WLAN AutoConfig service has nothing to do with wireless mouse or keyboard. Reinstall mouse and keyboard drivers.
