The manuals in the internet and google are insufficient to fix this problem.

It still apears and I cant system restore as the restore points are latest with this issue.

This ERROR prevents me from troubleshooting components like my network and other troubleshooters.

Please help as soon as possible.

Help appreciated. :love4u:

Hi,

First i would like to know your system better and collect some initial log...

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.
Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options:

  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List Winsock Entries
  • List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Devices (select Only Problems)
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size
  • List Minidump Files
  • List Restore Points

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply.

  • download Speccy Portable save the file to some place
  • extract the Zip file spsetupxxx.zip to an empty folder
  • run Speccy/Speccy64 according to the Operating System you have

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

  • In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  • In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  • Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box

Please post the resulting URL.

Check Windows System files integrity

  • open the Command Prompt as Administrator (Tutorial)
  • type the following command and press Enter:
    sfc /scannow

Note: This may take some time to finish.

Let me know if it doesn't say "No integrity violations found"

Let's see what the errors are about.

  • Download SFCFix.exe (by Niemiro) and save it to the Desktop
  • Run SFCFix (accept the security warning and follow the instructions on the screen)
  • Upon completion, a log file SFCFix.txt should be created on your Desktop
  • Open the SFCFix.txt log and copy & paste the contents to your post

Export the CBS folder

  • Click the Start button Win7Orb.gif then click Computer.
  • Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  • Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  • Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  • Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  • Attach this to your next post please, if the file is big please upload to this site sendspace.com and post the sharing URL

The folder is only 724 bytes, much apart from the 10mb limit. Anyway here you go.

The file is very small because its only a shortcut! you need to copy the all folder to the desktop

No actually, inside the zip files, the logs are stored in .cab files which is another extension like zip.

Edit: If you cant open the .cab files please use an archiver, I personally recommend bandizip but you probably have one I suppose.

Edit2: Posted the actual copy folder below. I copied the shortcut and realized it now. Sorry.
