You can open computer management from the command prompt with

The computer management window should open if you run

compmgmt.msc

inside the MS-DOS command prompt.

I'm in recovery mode at the MS DOS command prompt. X:\Windows When I type compmgmt.msc CMD tells me : 'compmgmt.msc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Let me tell you a little bit about what I'm trying to do maybe you can help me better. When I log into windows it asked me to be online and use my online password. I didn't want that so I want to disable it. So I went into computer management user account service and set a password in there (wish I didn't). When I reboot I enter my online password and windows gets stuck at the welcome screen just loading forever. How can I change it or remove the password I put in user account service?

Alright, I'm glad to hear you were able to solve the problem! I'm sorry that I was not of much assistance, but at least it is solved now.
