I am having the same problems, but am getting another error: Error 5: Access Denied. Do you know how to fix this issue? Please help if so :) Also my computer keeps popping up ' windows detected a hard disk problem'... so I don't know what is going on...if these issues are tied together or not?

Thanks in advance!

Does the error message same as the below image.

If above message has been displayed then, you should know the fact that your hard drive failure is imminent and may die sooner or later. This means you could lose all of your data i suggest you backup your personal files to external drive. If the computer is in warranty, you can contact your computer manufacturer for assistance in replacing your hard disk with a new one when the Windows has detected a hard disk problem. You can check health SMART report of the hard disk drive and repair surface errors that are not mechanic errors with your hard disk drive manufacturer diagnostic tool. Follow the instructions at below url address link.
