I have been wrestling with file permissions on my computer. I've searched online and found a couple of ways to make changes to files and directories - using Safe Mode and Cacls. Safe Mode is the only way I've managed to get to work, but I can't modify the permissions for every file on the drive, only files and folders individually. I imagine there is something fairly simple that I'm missing. Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks. I was messing around with that when I stumbled on the answer. Taking ownership of the files solved the problem for me (by hitting advanced on the security tab).
