So i got some old parts together and threw a PC together. I was able to boot up just fine the first time and then i got a BSOD. Keep in mind I had my CD player plugged in. Every time after that I tried to go into the bios and it would freeze. I unplugged my CD player and it worked i could go in and tweak things, plugged it back in and froze again. I've also experienced BSOD will trying to update windows. Anyone know what could of happened.

The ultimate diagnostic test is connecting/disconnecting hardware to see if the problem recurs.

IN this case, if you have a problem with the system when the CD drive is plugged in - and have no problem with the system when it's not plugged in - then the problem is the CD drive.

But, let's have a look at the reports and see what they show......

Perfmon shows that you don't have drivers installed for the nvidia® geforce 8200 mcp78s co processor.

Please visit the motherboard manufacturer's website to download/install the latest compatible nForce chipset drivers for that motherboard and the Operating System.

Only 182 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 350-400 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

The MSINFO32 report is corrupted.

Please do this

MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "msinfo32 /nfo %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter.  Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the TEST.NFO file.  If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back.  Then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

The 2005 version of ASACPI.sys (the Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility driver) is known to cause BSOD's on Windows systems.  Please update to the 2009 version available at the Asus support website for your mobo.  If unable to find it, please post back with the make/model of your mobo so we can research it.

Beyond this I have these 5 suggestions:
1.  Get ALL available Windows Updates.  It may take several trips to get them all
2.  Get ALL available, compatible updates for your OS from the manufacturer's website (to include BIOS/UEFI).
3.  Get ALL available, compatible updates for the programs and any additional hardware installed on your computer from the developer's website
4.  Start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
5.  If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

I would first download/install the drivers for the nForce chipset.

If the system won't stay stable long enough, then download it on another computer and carry it over to this one.

I suspect a hardware problem, so start on these free diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Good luck!

Im checking the memory is the Windows memory diagnostic tool when you boot up, is that a good enough test for the memory?

So i tried doing what you said but it all failed or crashed into a BSOD.

Windows update cant find any updates.

Bios will not update

Checked the Ram said they're was hardware issue tested it again and it said it was fine

Even restarting makes will make it BSOD sometimes

-Was able to update nForce chipset from what i can tell

Try the Memtest test rather than the built in Windows memory tool.

Beyond that, here's a procedure that will help rule out problem devices:  http://www.carrona.org/strpdown.html

Good luck!

EDIT:  Once you get back into the system, zip up the contents of the C:\Windows\Minidump directory and attach it to your next post.

If you can't zip it there, copy it to your Desktop and zip it up there.

14 were from June of 2016, the rest were from a couple of years ago.

I'm running the June 2016 one's now.

Out of 14 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD  (aka STOP or BugCheck) error codes.  The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things (the list is not in any sort of order):
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case.  Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html or http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html ).

Please get a head start on the hardware diagnostics - they are located here:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
