When I reboot, I get this annoying window that pops up. It has no file name, only little squares. How can I get rid of this pesky thing? I comes up only when computer is restarted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you describe further. Could this be a color chart?

I don't think so. I wish I could be more specific but that's all I know and it only happens on reboot, not after hibernation.

Is there a way I can attach a picture of it?

Yes - you can use a screen capture program like MW Snap which will take a picture of your desktop (set to user set perameters) which you can then post on a pic sharing site and link to it. (It provides the link in the right form for bulletin boards among others)
