Acronis True Image and Macrium Reflect Pro; and ext cooling devices
I've used both Acronis True Image [ATI] and Macrium Reflect Pro [MRP] for some now.I have found ATI, while very good, does tax a laptop [leading to extra heat] - laptop is better served having a usb connected external cooling assembly [one giant fan or twin fans] underneath.  I'm not recalling MRP causing extra heat except once -- where I didn't have the cooling assembly underneath said laptop.

Desktops in a warm and/or non-air-conditioned room, during ATI operations, also forced me to place two table fans in the room.  In a warm-ish room, both fans had to be ON during ATI operations.
