Recently purchased a windows 10 tablet.

I noticed that the battery wasn't charging when plugged in so uninstalled the battery driver named:-

Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery

Then reinstalled the above.

Battery is now charging when plugged in, but now the icon for the battery shows no battery detected

Tablet definitely runs on battery power alone! But no power battery status is shown!

Please help!

We'll need to know the make and model of the tablet.

But, most often the "fix" is to RESET the tablet using the Remove Everything option

This will remove everything from the tablet, so it's best to backup your stuff before doing this.

The download of drivers for this device is 6.2 gB in size.

Have you downloaded the entire package?

If so, what are the contents of the package (a list of filenames)?

If you have all the updates for the system, then I'd have to suggest this:  http://www.hardreset.info/devices/chuwi/chuwi-hi12/

BUT>>>>There are many reports of failed resets on the web.  I'd be careful doing this, and be prepared to contact Chuwi for further problems.

As it's a recent purchase, can you return it?  Either for your money back, or for another device?

This presumes that you tablet is the DualBoot version.

Here's the link to their forum post for drivers:  http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1160-1-1.html

I couldn't get the DropBox link to work for me (it wanted a password), so I used the Google Drive link:  https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxFgP2DJHgN2UjlaUXVtOTFuTms

The download was 6.2 gB in size!

As this is a battery issue, I'd also use the BIOS link:  https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxFgP2DJHgN2eDJQaUxEcWo3Qlk
