Hello All,

I have had a problem that just started happening last weekend. my Laptop has 600+ GB of available space. Normally, i usually have about 247 GB of free space. I've been noticing my PC getting very slow and what happens if i leave it on, that 247 GB slowly drops i mean within hours I've seen it as low as 600 MB. weird thing that happens is that if i restart the laptop is goes back to 247 GB available and starts all over again. once i get back to my Laptop i will send drive/system data.

When this starts to happen, open up Task Manger, click on the More Details button, then click on the Disk button to see what's consuming your hard drive.
This is most likely the problem (but this isn't a 100% solution).

Thanks for your reply! I think that i have figured out what is causing this data loss after running Treesize (which is great.). Turns out its Apple... CloudKit>ICloudphoto>MMCS to be exact.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7344937?start=0&tstart=0 seems unresolved...

Uninstall iCloud until it's resolved.

Either backup to another cloud service, or backup locally.

The problem is the space used by iCloud Photos

You have two options

=====================

Move it to another disk

1. Rightclick on iCloud > iCloud Settings

2. Here go to Options in Photos

3. Click on Change in Download new photos to my PC

====================

Or just disable iCloud Photos:

1. Rightclick on iCloud > iCloud Settings

2. Uncheck Photos

NoteIf you want to access your photos without downloading them, you can from icloud.com
