First off this is the first time I ever did one of these.

Second, ok to start this all of I have a gateway desktop computer. I believe the last update was a windows 8, it got reset to how it was when I first bought it and then it would not work so it got unplugged and stored away, well I just plugged it back in to try and figure it out and my screen turns on to the normal gateway in the beginning and then the screen turns blue and a little black box pops up and says no signal and then the screen turns black but my light still blinks like the screen is on and if I hit the button it turns off and I turn it back on and it does the same thing over again, every time. And I do not have any of the disk that came with it, they got lost during a move.

If someone could help me that would be fantastic, my 7 year old would be very grateful. Thanks

The make would be like Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, ASUS, etc.

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

Open the Control Panel and select System.  You should see it there.

According to the manual there are no audio settings for the sound.

Remove the audio card and see if this still occurs.
