I have charter and run 100+ mbps wired. However, I’ve had a Linksys E900 and would pull about 40mbps. I found an Asus RT-N56U gigabit router for $20 so thought I’d give it a whirl. I’m still only pulling 50 mbps.

My modem is

Cisco DPC3010

DOCSIS 3.0 Modem

Without dumping a ton of money into a router, how can I actually use the speed I am getting from Charter

Match router and wifi adapter.  If a AC router get a AC wifi adapter for example.

What are speeds direct to DPC3010? Was the 100Mbps+ a recent upgrade or service change?
