Hi all!

The developer gorhill AKA Raymond Hill has created µBlock Origin, which is intented for all users to block ads, trackers and malware sites.

However, he has also created uMatrix, which is a point-and-click matrix-based firewall, with many privacy-enhancing tools for advanced users, which also blocks similar things.

Therefore, my question is as follows; What is your opinion on uMatrix?

Thank you very much in advance!

Regards,

uMatrix is a really good extension, though it's mainly aimed at advanced users who knows how to manage a website/webpage without breaking it's functionnality. And it's more work to keep it working than uBlock Origin.

Hi, Aura!

Thank you very much for the prompt and insightful reply! :)

Yeah, uMatrix gives advanced users more granular control over what elements to allow and whatnot, that is scripts, frames, etc., which a website/webpage consists of.

Given the complexity of most websites/webpages nowadays, I suppose the advanced users who know how to manage this, are programmers and web designers.

Thank you very much for the help! :)
