tried safe mode gets stuck there too.

tried hirens boot disc  no icons up on screen -i guess it can't seem to find harddrive

tried recovery console to do system restore but just stays on examing(harddrive)

i read on here about  making a disc (german) to do a chkdsk (tools/ntfs4dos/chkdsk)

but it starts then stops and you see the prompt. x> actually it may not even have started the chkdsk maybe can't find the drive although recovery console new it was a 500gb drive so it found something.

tried to find  a harddrive checker i could get on disc but can't seem to find one i'm using  hirens boot disc using another harddrive that doesn't have windows working so i am very limited as to what i can do.

main thing is to find out if flies are still on there.
