Hi I'm new here and have been following since my computer was attacked in Feb 2016 with the Teslacrypt MP3. Thankfully, I was able to decrypt all the files. However, I selected the original file name choice when running the decrypt and all my files are still showing as MP3. They will open but if I change a PDF to open with Adobe it will change all the files in that folder to Adobe. What is the best way to convert/rename the files? I did notice this before running my documents folder and selected MP3 in the decrypt program and all of them are good.

Or is there a way too put the files back in encrypted mode and run them through again with the MP3 option.

Decryption instructions for all victims of TeslaCrypt 3.0/4.x are provided by BloodDolly here.

If you still need assistance, support for TeslaCrypt 3.0/4.0 is provided in this topic.Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the above support topic discussion. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
