Hi, just had a prompt from a hijacked website alerting me to "FOUR virus" (which is hard to believe considering I am very careful, and only recently bought the phone) and prompts me to download a free app from the "play store".

I have linked an image: http://m.imgur.com/nGP1NN8

So my question is, have I been infected? I did not download anything, but is it possible that the website could have secretly downloaded something? I do not have external download sources enabled either. Avast says I'm clean too. Just want to be sure that's all.

Many thanks.

Just a  "scareware" ad leading to a download for a probably malware install: the android/mobile version. Most likely not a google play store install.

As long as you didnt actually follow the install steps you should be ok.

no installation of apps from unknown sources, disabled

Avast: clean
