Hello all,

I am getting a BSOD only every couple of days or so. It is showing me a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I updated the drivers, but that didn't seem to help. I am ran the BSOD inspector and uploading the files. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

I can help you look into this. If you installed any new hardware or drivers, returning to the previous driver or removing any newly installed hardware would be the first step. Let me know if this has helped then we can go on.

Only 258 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 300-400 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

These devices have problems in Device Manager:

Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Virtual Miniport Adapter for Windows x64    ROOT\NET\0000    This device is disabled.
Not Available    ACPI\HPQ6007\3&33FD14CA&0    The drivers for this device are not installed.
BAPIDRV    ROOT\LEGACY_BAPIDRV\0000    This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.

Please uninstall Cisco AnyConnect.  If it's needed, then please download a fresh copy for reinstalling it.

I believe that the ACPI\HPQ6007 device is the HP ProtectSmart (or similar hard drive protection) - please install the driver for that.

I"m still researching the last one (and a bit of the second one also) - but am late for work

I'll come back in about 8/9 hours.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Still nothing on the BAPIDRV thing.  I'd suggest disabling it to see what doesn't work on your system.

If you still can't find anything, right click on it and select "Uninstall" in order to get rid of it.

There's not much info in the memory dumps, but we'll pursue the hints that are there.
But, in order to (hopefull) make this easier, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

Then, please uninstall the NetSupport application - simply because it's spitting it's DLL's into the memory dumps - and that just doesn't happen very often.

It's also got some very old drivers - so it's the prime suspect right now.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was gone a few days and didn't get a chance to do any troubleshooting. I will try the suggestions and post back the results.
