Hey there, everyone.  I am new to posting on this forum, but have followed topics and tried to learn as much as I could from your collective expertise.  (Eww, not to sound like a creeper).....  Anyway, I am experiencing some issues with my Lenovo G500s that I am praying someone can help me with--  My laptop was fine day before yesterday; yesterday I booted it up and it was stuck in endless boot cycle:  No error message; no Windows messages.  The Lenovo splash screen appears then a PXE-M0F statement of some sort--Then that cycle continues. When I booted into BIOS, the HD is not recognized in either BIOS or Boot Manager; I also cannot boot into Safe Mode.

I read the Hard Drive could have come dislodged or loose, but after checking, everything was secure.  I checked screws and connections and all were OK.  I figured, OK,  I have a bad Hard Drive and resigned myself to losing whatever data was not backed up and move on--   Only problem now is, my laptop won't even turn on--not on battery, not plugged in.  The Recovery button does not work either.  The power button does light up when plugged in though.   :trumpet:

If anyone has any suggestions, I would so appreciate and welcome them!  Please remember that I am clearly not tech saavy (wah wah) and have obviously done more harm than good to this point.  All I want to do now is stop my impulse of  :smash:

Thanks in advance....and please help ugh.

Hi Louis....  Thank you for your reply!  Sorry for the delay in my response.  After checking HDD to be sure it was secure, I replaced the back of the laptop and tried to power it on--  This time it wouldn't even boot up.  When plugged in to AC, the power light comes on, but the laptop itself does not even boot up.  I did notice that the CMOS is secured by glue, though; if this needs to be replaced, how would I do this?

I had my laptop for 3 years, so it is out of warranty obviously and contacting Lenovo is very last resort.  Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Worth reading through:  https://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/user_guides/g410_g510_ug_en.pdf  .

I can't provide any assistance than the above...I lack any real experience with Lenovo laptops.
