II made a big mistake force deleting 3 items. It was an Android icon[green]
and 2 others I didn't mark down.
I think that's the reason I can't download from the playstore from my w-10 desktop to my android KitKat 4.2 tablet. I just went from my  w-7 to w-10 on the desktop My wifi seems to be working ok.
I restored the tablet but that didn't get the icons back.I If could get them icons back I think it would solve my problems. I shouldn't have screwed around with them 3 icons force deleting them..
Hope someone can help me.

Wifey and I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and a Tab A.  I'm wondering if you can get to that total reset thing [*] that would initiate a complete ReInstall of the OS.  You would have to rebuild your preferences again and so on.  Or, if you know what was "behind" those icons, maybe the Store will still have those items [of course, I'm meaning the nonOS items].

[*] I can't remember right now what that choice was called or exactly where in the menu system that choice was.

Not knowing what the icons are specifically makes it extremely difficult to help you. Add in the fact restoring the device didn't add the icons back compounds the issue.

Thanks Animal for catching that he did restore earlier, I forgot that.  Meaning, his icons were probably 3rd party items?

Was the device rooted, I guess?

No this tablet is only 3 months old. haven't done anything like that. I could have sent

the tablet back but It cost $50 to send it back to China. I'm stuck with it and would like to

make use of it.If their is a way to put in the original operating system it would solve everything

I believe.

 Here is my about tablet.

I finally got the page I need I think with the icon door opened but it is open
with a red exclamation mark on it.
My android system recovery is on top of page but in red.I can't click on that.
I can manuever to the following things.
Reboot system now
apply update from adb
wipe cache partition
apply update from internal storage
apply update from cache no command

Try wiping cache. Probably won't make much difference, but better than nothing. If that doesn't work, you will need to download and copy the latest firmware to your tablet and use the "apply update from internal storage" option.

Yes I've tried 3 of the recoveries and tablet still refuses to download things. I have no idea
how to do the " firmware to your tablet and use the "apply update from internal storage" option.
I think my operating system is the culprit. I would appreciate some detail on how to do that.
