after upgrading to windows 10 I get a message on boot saying

There is a file or folder called "c:\Program" which could cause certain applications to not function correctly. Renaming it to "c:\Program1" would solve this problem

I'd suggest posting over in the Am I Infected forum in case this is an infection:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
Please read the pinned topics at the top of the forum for instructions on how to post there.

Once you get the all clear from the experts there, feel free to post back here if the problem is still ongoing.

Good luck!

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

If this turns out not to be viri or malware, then my first guess:  while a program or utility was being installed, during that procedure, did you attempt to edit the location for any particular program or utility?  Reason for asking:  When it was not viri or malware, I found it was often caused by accidental spelling error during install.
