Hey guys so recently had a virus that blocked theinternet for a few weeks, It even deleted combo fix and wouldnt let it run but used adaware and seen bootup files that were suspect so deleted them and Im back thanks to this site, but made me think I should get things sorted out regarding my occasional blue screen of death.

Im on windows 7, dont have a disc with it and my restore point wouldt work with the virus I had as it said it couldnt find the disc or something, I forget, I was just happy to get my browsers working again.

When I first got my laptop, reconidtioned, I got blue screen of death a few times after a month or so, which I was shocked at since it was apparantly brand new...ish. It only happened occasionally, like now, but it hangs at shut down a lot and I need to hold the power button to force it off. If I dont do this it will eventually vut to bsod and will stay there, as I found when home from work and my wife had shut it down and it hadnt done so. I just seen this subforum and seen someone reccomending the BSOD Inspector so I ran it and tried have uploaded the file it created.

Thanks for any help that comes my way.

Only 259 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 300-400 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

Although there's only 2 memory dumps in the uploaded reports - it appears that nvnusbaudio.sys is at fault.

This is the driver for your Novation USB Audio Device.

To test, please uninstall the software for this device and physically remove it from the system.

If you find that this was to blame, then try updating to the latest, W7 compatible driver available from the manufacturer's website - then see if the BSOD's return.

You have both McAfee and Avast drivers present in the memory dumps.  Please uninstall enough so that you only have one antivirus and one firewall installed - anything else can cause conflicts and can crash the system or even let viruses get in.
