I've noticed that some larger file downloads (100+ MB) just cut off in the middle for some reason. This is in IE and Firefox. I've been told that a download accelerator program would help. If that's the case, which programs would you folks recommend? Are there any free of spyware, ads, etc.? Thanks in advance.

I'm using IDM and it is the best of all I've tried, but it is not free. There is DownThemAll, a download manager which is a firefox extension, you might want to check it out. It is freeware and open-source.
