My Windows 98 (with the software upgraded to XP Home edition) has been really slow. After I did some searching I found that there was only 128MB of RAM. I thought that there was 512, but there isn't. Someone plesae tell me if something is wrong and can easily be fixed. I don't plan on spending more than a hundred dollars for more MBs. Please help me and my slow computer!

Go to Crucial.com and click on the little button about a half-way down on the right that says: Scan My System.

It'll check your computer and let you know exactly how many ram slots you have and what you can put in there.

Good luck!

 Hiya,

She that must be obeyed ( The Wife ) runs Windows 98SE, equally with Windows XP software installed. Her original RAM was 256 mb and until I increased it too 512 mb her machine was very slow.
Those Xp programs are a bit heavy for little old Windows 98.....................

Regards,

Tony.. :flowers:
