Would unscrewed HDD fit in NZXT 820?

I plan on getting the WD caviar blue on amazon and apparently it comes without screws or cables.
I heard you could just snap the HDD in the NZXT Phantom 820. Does this mean screws aren't needed?
I'm pretty sure I'd still need a cable though.
