Recently I got a email from "Mail Delivery System <MAILER-DAEMON@orange.fr>" in which it said that the email that I was trying to send was not send, and the email content was typical SPAM ("Hi, Look what I've just found for you, you'll be surprised, more info here <Spam link here> ") . So I got worried and tried to change my password but when I go to Yahoo account info --> Account security, and click on change password nothing happens just the page reloads.

Just scanned my pc with malwarebytes no malware found.

PS In the recent activity of Yahoo info I have my account connected to several email applications that are from different countries.

Hi,

If you are using the same computer that got hit by the TeslaCrypt infection I suggest you post on the Am I infected? What do I do? section of the forum to make sure the computer is clean.

If possible use another computer and try to reset the Yahoo password using this link https://login.yahoo.com/forgot?

No this is not the PC with TeslaCrypt, this is my private laptop.

I clicked the reset/forgot link that you provided in my phone, all the procedures went fine untill i clicked "create new password" which send me to yahoo homepage. Tried it in my phone and on another pc same thing, so I don't think this is a device problem.

I suggested to user another computer just in case it was compromised.

Just tested, I can access the Account security page just fine.

Did you try with a different browser? Don't know if it works on phone... I'm using Firefox on a PC.

I'm having the same problem. Last night a ton of emails were sent to my contacts. I regained access to my account via the security questions, but when I got into the account and clicked "create new password" it took my to the yahoo homepage! I then tried to go to "my account" to change the password from there, but it prompts me to enter a password...Which I obviously don't have...that's why I am trying to change it. I've repeated this process (gaining access to my account, via a code sent to my phone or back up email, or security questions) a ton of times. No matter what, once I'm into my email, it wont allow me to change the password. If anyone knows a remedy to this issue pleaasseee shareeeee :) I use this account for business purposes as well as running a household. Thanks!!

Tried changing my password today and it worked, so if you haven't changed it yet you can do it now.

Here is a longshot - but if your Yahoo mail is a provision of some other email service which uses Yahoo, then you may be able to go through that other service to change your Yahoo password.
