Hello Bleeping Computer Forum,

 
I need a perfect solution for backing up my apple mail gmail account on my mac. I have gone through th time machine thing, but it really didn't work for me as its not only my emails and stuff. I need a backup solution particularly for my email database. I hope to get some decent response, Thanks

Thanks for the solution Kenneth. I needed a fast and easy solution to backup my Gmail account so I opted for mail backup x and I downloaded the application for free from here: http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/Mail-Backup-X.shtml

It is very risky to download programs that are not available in the Apple Store or to download from sites other than the developer's site.

 

That is....as far as I can tell....a trial version that you downloaded.....not free.
