I've had some problems with spyquake ads in the past, now i have tons of outerinfo ads. on top of that, i can't get an internet connection. My computer says i have a connection, but i can't get any webpages, (i'm on my laptop right now, so i can use that to access the forums through my father's router from across the house). My cable modem says the following is on: "Power" "receive" and "pc/activity," but "send" is blinking and "online" is totally off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey el5amu3l,

I think that you have a corrupted Winsock chain, caused by the malware.
Before attempting to fix the other problems, let's fix the internet first.

Go to start > run and type cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type next in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
Hit enter and reboot.

Let me know if the internet connection returns,
David

You have multiple infections that stand alone scanners may not be able to remove.
I recommend you follow the HijackThis preparation guide which can be found here. It is important that you follow the guide closely. A number of scans will be run which may well fix your problem. As the guide says, after you have completed the scans that are recommended, please post your HijackThis log in a new topic in the forum found here. Please add your system infomation and also what problems you are having.
Please be patient, and a HJT team member will help you to clean up your system.
David
