A friend of mine got this thing and all his files are now *.xxx files. Is there a way to get them back or must he wait a bit more for a solution?

Thank you.

EDIT: I downloaded TeslaDecoder, but I see that I must have a private key. My friend saved on his HDD all the files and then he formatted his pc. is there a way to get the key now?

@sawada91,

carefully read the message №2
Use the master key to decrypt the files:

Decryption instructions for all victims of TeslaCrypt 3.0/4 provided by BloodDolly here.

If you still need assistance, support for TeslaCrypt 3.0/4.0 is provided in this topic.Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in one of the above support topic discussions. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
